Is cane sugar healthier than high-fructose corn syrup?

Registered dietitian Jaime Gnau shares some insights.

Coca-Cola recently announced a new product made with cane sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup. Is the former better than the latter? 

From a nutritional perspective, the evidence strongly points to no. 

In a recent HuffPost article, registered dietitian Jaime Gnau explains both are added sugars that the body processes in nearly the same way. 

Gnau is also a clinical assistant professor of nutrition and dietetics in the School of Health Sciences at Missouri State University.
