Are citrus fruits truly good for you?

Registered dietitian Natalie Allen explains why they deserve a spot in your daily diet.

Citrus fruits like oranges, grapefruits and lemons are more than just a winter staple — they are packed with essential nutrients that promote better health.  

According to registered dietitian Natalie Allen, citrus fruits provide antioxidants that help lower inflammation, potentially reducing the risk of chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease. Read more of her insights in a recent The New York Times article.  

Allen is also a clinical associate professor of nutrition and dietetics in the School of Health Sciences at Missouri State University.
