College of Education Dean Dr. David Hough shares what Missouri State is doing.

It’s a worrying fact: there’s a shortage of teachers in Missouri and all across the country. Fewer people are becoming teachers for various reasons, such as low wages and high stress.

What are teaching colleges in Missouri doing to change that negative trend? Dr. David Hough, dean of the College of Education at Missouri State University, shares with KCUR how his college is trying to attract more people to pursue teaching as a career.
