Missouri State University will award 2,625 degrees at its spring 2026 commencement. Three ceremonies take place at 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. May 8 at Great Southern Bank Arena.
First ceremony
The first ceremony will recognize students graduating from the:
Student Madelynn Jared will speak at this ceremony. She will receive a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and an Undergraduate Certificate in Food and Beverage Operations.
Second ceremony
The second ceremony will recognize students graduating from the:
Student Lana Janson will speak at this ceremony. She will receive a Bachelor of Science in Physics and an Undergraduate Certificate in Computational Science.
The university will also present alumna Mimi Garstang with an honorary Doctor of Public Affairs degree.
Third ceremony
The third ceremony will recognize students graduating from the:
Student Maddux Radosevic will speak at this ceremony. He will receive a Bachelor of Science in Journalism with a minor in communication.
About the graduates
Missouri State will confer 1,881 bachelor’s degrees, 631 master’s degrees, 104 doctorate degrees and nine specialist degrees in education.
Beyond meeting standard degree requirements, the university will recognize 51 students for their work with a more rigorous curriculum in Missouri State’s Honors College.
The university will also recognize students graduating with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale:
- 223 students will graduate summa cum laude (with GPAs between 3.9-4.0).
- 256 students will graduate magna cum laude (with GPAs between 3.75-3.89).
- 385 students will graduate cum laude (with GPAs between 3.5-3.74).
