Vitamin C: Which form works best?

Registered dietitian Dr. Daniela Novotny helps break it down.

Vitamin C supplements come in the form of tablets, gummies and powders. How are they similar or different? Is one type better than the other? 

In a recent Verywell Health article, registered dietitian Dr. Daniela Novotny shared that tablets provide the most accurate and stable dose of vitamin C. Powders offer flexible dosing but can be harsh on teeth, while gummies taste good but usually have added sugar and lower vitamin C. 

Novotny is also a senior instructor of nutrition and dietetics in the School of Health Sciences at Missouri State University.
