Drinking water isn’t the only way to stay hydrated. Many fruits and vegetables contain high water content and essential nutrients that contribute to your daily hydration needs.

Registered dietitian Natalie Allen shares the benefits of top hydrating foods like cucumbers and celery in a recent Martha Stewart article. These food items not only keep you refreshed, but also promote digestion and reduce inflammation.

Allen is also a clinical associate professor of nutrition and dietetics in the School of Health Sciences at Missouri State University.
