Watching your diet to help relieve osteoarthritis

RD Daniela Novotny shares some insights.

Osteoarthritis is joint pain that most commonly happens in people’s knees, hips, lower back and neck. While you can relieve the pain and discomfort with over-the-counter and prescription medications, watching what you eat may also help.

Dr. Daniela Novotny, a registered dietitian and biomedical sciences instructor at Missouri State University, explains to U.S. News & World Report that inflammation in the body can lead to osteoarthritis and the types of food that increase and counter inflammation.
