Top foods that give you omega-3 fatty acids

There are many health benefits from omega-3 fatty acids. They include preventing heart attacks and strokes, increasing blood flow to the brain, lowering cholesterol and decreasing inflammation. As such, eating foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids is important.

Dr. Daniela Novotny, a registered dietitian and biomedical sciences instructor at Missouri State University, highlights a few of the best food sources for omega-3 fatty acids on U.S. News & World Report.
