University project lands Springfield teachers nominations

Two teacher consultants with the Ozarks Writing Project have been nominated for Teach of the Year with Springfield public schools the past two years

spslogoTwo teacher consultants with the Ozarks Writing Project have been nominated for Teacher of the Year with Springfield Public Schools the past two years:

  • Thomas Maerke, communications arts teacher for Pleasant View Middle School, was nominated for the 2014-2015 school year
  • Gretchen Teague, communications arts teacher for Central High School, was nominated for the 2015-2016 school year

Ozarks Writing Project

The OWP is  housed in the English Department within the College of Arts and Letters, as a collaborative program between Missouri State University and the National Writing Project (NWP), the premier effort to improve writing in America.
