From the beginning, Reesha Adamson could sense her calling. She wanted to improve the lives of young people – those of elementary school age, especially – who have behavioral disorders such as oppositional behaviors, depression, anxiety and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) that manifest themselves in learning environments.
At a recent basketball game, the Maroon Minute was dedicated to faculty in the College of Education’s special education program.
Faculty in the blindness and low-vision education program are preparing future teachers to relay all the subjects to their students (K-12) in a nonvisual manner, everything from literature to math to social studies.
