Herpetologist Dr. Brian Greene offers insights about the unusual reptile.
Often times snakes get a bad rap. They’re usually more frightened by you than you are of them, and you’ll most likely overlook them if you’re trekking through the woods.
As a herpetologist, a zoologist that focuses on amphibians and reptiles, Dr. Brian Greene knows that one of the risks in the natural environment is dangerous snakes, but he has always been curious as to why people are so afraid. He’ll share some recent research about primates’ brains that trains us to be afraid of snakes in a free public lecture Feb. 10.
