Herpetologist Dr. Brian Greene offers insights about the unusual reptile.

September 20, 2024 by Strategic Communication

Tiger-Lily, a reptile that looks to be from an ancient myth, is temporarily residing at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center in Kansas City. The nearly 3-foot-long conjoined female western rat snakes are 7 years old and could grow to be about 30 years old and 5-feet long.

Dr. Brian Greene, associate professor of biology at Missouri State University, offers some insights to KCUR about western rat snakes.
