MBA ranked as a top program for veterans

The Master of Business Administration was ranked in the top online programs list by U.S. News.

June 17, 2015 by Strategic Communication

A lecture in Glass Hall. The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program was ranked 75th on the third annual “2015 Best Online Programs for Veterans” list published by U.S. News.

“We are thrilled with the recognition of the Missouri State MBA Program,” said Dr. Elizabeth Rozell, associate dean of the College of Business and director of the MBA program. “For those military personnel on active duty, the MSU MBA online program is a great option. It provides the flexibility to take courses when it’s convenient. Our students obtain the skills necessary to be successful in a variety of areas while in a flexible, judiciously-priced program.”

The rankings include online bachelor’s programs as well as master’s programs in business, engineering, nursing, education and computer information technology. Starting this year, U.S. News ranked online graduate criminal justice programs for veterans and it created a stand-alone ranking of online MBA programs.

In order for a university to qualify for the “Best Online Programs for Veterans” rankings, the online programs featured had to be among the top 75 percent of schools ranked in the “2015 Best Online Programs” rankings. Programs must also be part of institutions that are certified for the GI Bill and participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program — two federal initiatives that help veterans reduce the cost of school. Public schools that don’t participate in the Yellow Ribbon Program still qualified if they offer in-state tuition to student veterans from out-of-state.
