Missouri State University students brought home 11 awards at the 2022 National Leadership Conference in Chicago, IL.

Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) students advanced to the national level following their success in the state conference last spring. They competed against 762 students from 139 chapters nationwide.

“Our business Bears stood up to compete on this national stage, representing Missouri and our university and showed what they were made of,” said marketing senior instructor and FBLA-PBL faculty advisor, Courtney Pham.

“These winning results are a testament of how tenacious these students are.”

Dedication pays off

The competitions focused on current events in business.

Spencer Ingram, senior and FBLA-PBL president, won first place for his business law presentation along with his partner, Caleb Thayer, senior.

“This was the first time our team has been able to travel to the national leadership conference and it was a wonderful experience,” Ingram said.
