Jill Wiggins, director of the Career Center at Missouri State University, was presented with the 2016 LEAD Award by the Missouri State Council of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) on Aug. 3 at the SHRM Missouri State Conference at Tan-Tar-A Resort.

“I am honored to have been chosen for this award. To be recognized by my peers is one of the ultimate compliments,” said Wiggins. “Helping people is something I absolutely love, and to be recognized for doing it is pretty amazing.”

The award recognizes and honors a Missouri human resources professional who has achieved the highest level of leadership, excellence and dedication in the field of human resources.

About the winner

Wiggins has served the human resources profession in a variety of capacities for more than 18 years. She has held numerous roles within the Springfield Area Human Resources Association (SAHRA) and has served on the Missouri State Council of SHRM.

Wiggins has been  the director of the Missouri State University Career Center since September 2014 and serves on numerous committees, both at work and throughout the Springfield community.
