Local student organization nationally recognized
The local student chapter of the American Chemical Society at Missouri State University received a Commendable Chapter Award for the 2012-2013 year. This is the second year in a row that the chapter has won the award.
The student chapter has also been designated a Green Chemistry Student Chapter. This designation requires that the chapter perform at least three activities that highlight the value of green chemistry to humans and the environment.
