MSU’s David Trachtenberg confirmed for White House Pentagon pick

Trachtenberg is the new principal deputy undersecretary of defense for policy.

Senators on Tuesday voted 70-17 to approve David Trachtenberg’s nomination to be principal deputy undersecretary of defense for policy.

In addition to his years of government service at the Department of Defense and the House Armed Services Committee, Trachtenberg is a distinguished faculty member of Missouri State University’s Defense and Strategic Studies (DSS) graduate education program. The DSS department is based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, in Fairfax, Virginia.
