Missouri State event highlights community-engaged research

On April 27, campus and community partners will explore how research informs real-world solutions in Springfield.

Missouri State University and the efactory will host Research That Shows Up on April 27, highlighting the university’s commitment to community-engaged research. 

Brad Bodenhausen, vice president for community and global partnerships, said the work reflects Missouri State’s focus on connecting research with community needs. 

The event will feature two panel discussions focused on collaboration and data-driven decision-making. Topics include regional water resource challenges and the role of the Community Focus Report in guiding community priorities. 

Panel moderators include Marc Owen, director of the Ozarks Environmental and Water Resources Institute, and Traci Nash of the Ozarks Public Health Institute. 

The program includes lunch and begins at 11 a.m. Community members are encouraged to attend.
