Planning winter holiday trips on a budget

Hospitality and tourism expert Dr. Liza Cobos shares some insights.

The winter holidays are the perfect time for taking a break as temperatures drop.  

Whether it’s visiting loved ones or exploring a new city, travel costs can add up quickly. The good news is there are several strategies to plan an unforgettable holiday without breaking the bank.  

Dr. Liza Cobos, associate professor in Missouri State University’s School of Hospitality and Agricultural Leadership, shares expert advice on WalletHub about how to save money when planning for travel during the winter season, as well as some do’s and don’ts.
