David Feherty headlines fall 2025 Public Affairs Conference

Former pro golfer turned acclaimed broadcaster will share insights on resilience.

July 14, 2025 by Strategic Communication

Missouri State University will welcome David Feherty, a former professional golfer turned acclaimed broadcaster and bestselling author, to campus this fall.

He will be the Public Affairs Conference 2025 keynote speaker. The presentation will take place at 7 p.m. Sept. 16 at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

The keynote event kicks off the conference, scheduled Sept. 16-18. The theme is “Resilient People, Resilient Future.”

Also known for his sharp wit and unfiltered honesty, Feherty has been open about his struggles with addiction and depression — using humor as a path to healing and resilience.

“With heart and hard-earned perspective, David will bring a candid, compassionate voice to the resilience conversation at our conference this year,” said Brent Dunn, Missouri State University Foundation executive director.

The keynote is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required. The event is made possible by the Missouri State Foundation with support from KY3.
