To recognize and celebrate Native American and Indigenous Heritage Month in November, the office of multicultural programs at Missouri State University will host several events and activities on campus.
They run from Nov. 2-19.
“Celebrating Native American heritage allows us to acknowledge the past, learn about cultural history and examine how that history has been represented in American discourse,” said Dr. Nina Barudzic, director of multicultural programs at Missouri State.
“The objective is to celebrate and learn about a culture that embodies Native American history, traditions and unique perspectives. This year, we’re focusing on the stories of Native peoples and their insights on how to best support Native communities.”
