MSU recognizes Black History Month

Join in the celebration throughout February.

January 30, 2024 by Strategic Communication

This year’s Black History Month is themed “African Americans and the Arts,” highlighting how Black Americans have contributed to visual and performing arts, music, fashion and more.

To celebrate and honor Black history, Missouri State University will host several events on campus Feb. 3-29.

“We’re excited the office of multicultural programs can provide an opportunity for communities to come together and honor the achievements, culture and especially the resilience of Black people,” said Dr. Nina Barudzic, director of multicultural programs at Missouri State.

“We’ll have various programs and events on campus to educate, inspire and promote awareness of the significant role Black individuals have played in shaping our society and the world.”
