Missouri State University will hold several events to celebrate Black History Month Feb. 7-27.
“During Black History Month, also known as African American History Month, the multicultural resources center will honor the achievements, culture and history of African Americans,” said Dr. Nina Barudzic, director of multicultural programs at Missouri State.

All events will be held in person and are free and open to the public. No registration is required.

Black History Month Speaker: Two-time New Year Times Best Selling Author, Frederick Joseph at 7 p.m. in PSU Theater.
Feb. 9
Racial Visibility in the Workplace at 3 p.m. in PSU, Room 312 B and C.
Feb. 14
Tuesday Talk: Black Love at 2 p.m. in PSU, Room 101.
Feb. 16
“Love and Basketball” Movie Night at 5 p.m. in PSU, Room 101.
Feb. 21
Speaker Dr. Christy Hyman: Contested Space and the Pursuit of Freedom in the Great Dismal Swamp at 4:30 p.m. in Carrington Hall, Room 208.
