Attention veterans: Join Missouri State University for a Veterans Day celebration.
Veterans can enjoy events Nov. 11-12 to celebrate their military service.
“We are very pleased to call special attention to our veterans,” said Brent Dunn, executive director of the Missouri State University Foundation.

Veterans Day Breakfast
Veterans are invited to enjoy a complimentary breakfast in honor of their military service. This event is sponsored by Central Bank/Central Trust.
Attendees will hear from a guest speaker.
Music will be performed by the 135th Army Band, Windfall. Color Guard will be presented by The Missouri State University Pershing Rifles Company. The National Anthem will be performed by The MSU BearTones.
“This is a very important event in the life of our university, and we welcome all to attend,” Dunn said.
The doors open at 8 a.m. Nov. 11 at the Plaster Student Union Ballroom. Breakfast will be served at 8:30 am. and the program will begin at 9 a.m.

“We are proud to be recognized as a veteran-friendly institution and proud of our long history of supporting ROTC and all areas of the armed forces,” Dunn added.
Taps project
The National Anthem will be played at 10:55 a.m. in front of McDonald Arena.
The cascading sound of Taps by MSU trumpeters will start at 11:11 a.m. The Missouri State Bear Battalion will assist the trumpeters as they play throughout campus.
This event is free for all attendees. No registration is required.
Alumni Open House
Stop by and speak with cadre, cadets or other alumni to enjoy a trip down memory lane with the history of the Bear Battalion throughout the hallways.
The open house is located at the southeast corner of Freudenberger House, 1000 E. Madison Ave., Springfield, MO 65897.
