The Missouri State University Board of Governors elected new officers during its regular meeting Oct. 15.
Carol Silvey, West Plains, was elected chair. Chris Waters, Kansas City, was elected vice-chair.
Silvey was vice president for advancement at the Ozarks Medical Center Foundation. She also worked at Missouri State University-West Plains for 38 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in education from Missouri State and a master’s degree in education from the University of Missouri.
Waters is a financial advisor for the Hennings Waters Group Private Wealth Management at Baird & Co. in Kansas City. He has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has a bachelor’s degree in general business and marketing from Missouri State.
The terms for the new officers will begin Jan. 1, 2022.
