A credit card

Credit cards students should consider

Finance expert Dr. Jeff Jones shares some insights.

July 20, 2021 by Strategic Communication

Students typically have limited or no credit, because they haven’t yet established a credit history. As such, student cards typically come with few rewards or benefits, and low credit limits. A student credit card is simply a credit card designed for college students. These cards usually require you to be an active student when you apply.

What are the best features to look for in student credit cards? How should a college student plan to use a student credit card?

Dr. Jeff Jones, certified financial planner and department head of finance and general business at Missouri State University, provides answers to these questions and more on Credit Card Insider.
