Could President Trump set up a successful Patriot Party?

Historian Dr. Djene Bajalan weighs in.

President Donald Trump is reportedly considering forming a new “Patriot Party,” The Wall Street Journal reported on Jan. 19, citing people familiar with the matter. Can he capitalize on his 75-million base?

Dr. Djene Bajalan, assistant professor of history at Missouri State University, tells Sputnik International that while Trump is capable of kickstarting a new political movement, it is unlikely that a new Patriot Party will be very successful in electoral terms.
