Why the situation in Syria is getting tough for Turkey

Middle East politics expert Dr. David Romano weighs in.

Turkey’s military offensive against Kurdish forces in northeastern Syria has become more complicated for two main reasons: the arrival of the regime of Bashar al-Assad and his powerful Russian ally, and increased international pressure.

Dr. David Romano, Thomas G. Strong professor of middle east politics at Missouri State University, explains to La Presse how these two developments are affecting Turkish’s presence in the area.
