Did the Kurds help the U.S. during World War II?

Middle East historian Dr. Djene Bajalan explains.

Recently, President Donald Trump tried to minimize the U.S. partnership with the Kurds by saying, “they didn’t help us in the Second World War. They didn’t help us in Normandy.”

Dr. Djene Bajalan, assistant professor of history at Missouri State University, comments on this statement in The Washington Post.
