Missouri State University’s Staff Service Awards program honored several categories of staff for their hard work and dedication.
At the Jan. 9 ceremony, Missouri State announced the two winners of its Staff Excellence in Community Service Award and the six winners of its Staff Excellence in University Service Award.
Forty-six staff who retired from the Springfield campus were honored. The university also recognized 201 staff from the Springfield campus for reaching a five-year longevity milestone in 2018.
Two honored for community contributions
The Excellence in Community Service Award recipients were A’dja Jones, director of student athlete development and community relations, and Linda Steinshouer, assistant in the department of social work.
Six honored for service to university
The Staff Excellence in University Service Awards were presented to:
- Mary Barnhart, facilities management
- Mary Lynne Golden, provost’s office
- Chris Nagle, visual media
- MJ Perryman, facilities management
- Erica Puckett, admissions on the West Plains campus
- Marianne Stanley, computer services
