Magers receives perfect accreditation score

Patients get highest quality care at on-campus clinic.

November 26, 2018 by Strategic Communication

When you’re in pain or need medical assistance, you deserve the best. That’s what Missouri State University students, faculty and staff receive at Magers Family Health and Wellness Center, according to the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

At the recent accreditation visit by the agency, Magers received a perfect accreditation score. This is the first perfect score Magers has received from an AAAHC surveyor in eight surveys since 1997.

“We celebrate this pinnacle achievement together, not for self-pride, but rather for the confirmation that we are doing our professional best for the care and wellbeing of our patients,” said Dr. Dave Muegge, director of the center.

This re-accreditation means Magers met nationally recognized standards for the provision of quality health care set by AAAHC. The agency accredits more than 5,000 ambulatory health care organizations across the U.S.

The primary care clinic was scored on approximately 800 quality points during the rigorous on-site survey process.

“There is no greater calling than loving service,” Muegge said. “There is no greater accomplishment than to give that loving service to the very best of our abilities.”
