Criminology master’s degree ranked best program

College Choice rates Missouri State’s criminology program No. 1.

February 28, 2018 by Strategic Communication

The job market is more competitive than ever before, which means students have to make sure they gain the edge.

Missouri State University helps students reach this goal by offering a wide selection of master’s degrees. MSU ensures these programs are not only top quality, but also affordable and flexible.

CollegeChoice.net recognized this hard work, ranking MSU No. 1 in the list of “35 Best Master’s in Criminal Justice for 2018.”

“We believe that our unique three-pillared approach that focuses on leadership, policy analysis and decision-making is a major reason why we are receiving this distinction,” said Dr. Brett Garland, department head of criminology.

Creating leaders in criminal justice

The Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice gives students the upper hand to be ready for managerial careers in the field. These positions include homeland security, justice administration and law enforcement positions.

Many students continue their education from here, pursuing law and doctoral degrees.

While the program requires 36 credits, every class has an online option. This makes it a preferred choice for students who need flexibility in their schedule.
