Why Lebanon is restricting Syrians’ entry into the country

Middle East politics expert Dr. David Romano explains.

Syria is a sanctioned country. Its people cannot do a lot of regular activities, such as banking, applying for visas and taking international exams. Their option is to travel across the border into Lebanon. However, Lebanon is clamping down on Syrians entering the country – even those who show required documents.

Dr. David Romano, Thomas G. Strong professor of middle east politics at Missouri State University, shares his thoughts on why Lebanon is taking this action with Arab News.
