Ozarks Public Television celebrates Dr. Seuss

Special event planned featuring The Cat in the Hat.

Ozarks Public Television will celebrate Dr. Seuss’ birthday in southwest Missouri on Feb. 17.

The featured event is the Seuss Science Day at the Discovery Center of Springfield, 438 E St. Louis St.

Kids will have a chance to enjoy Dr. Seuss stories including: “The Foot Book,” “The Cat in the Hat Comes Back,” “The ABC Book” and “One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish.”

Guests can also take part in special science demonstrations featured for the celebration.

The Cat in the Hat will greet guests and pose for photos during the event.

Event details

Activities are scheduled from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The Discovery Center will be open during normal hours from 9 a.m.-6 p.m.

A reduced admission cost of $7 will be available to guests of the Discovery Center. Kids ages 2 and under get in free.
