Missouri State excels at online programs

BestColleges.com rates MSU in the top 50 online programs.

BestColleges.com recognized Missouri State University as one of the Top Online Colleges of 2018. 

“Missouri State University is among the top accredited online colleges in the country. Their continued commitment to train students to become culturally competent and community-engaged, ethical leaders has earned them a top position on our list,” said Stephanie Snider, general manager at BestColleges.com. 

Missouri State was in the top 50 of more than 2,100 colleges and universities considered. 

“This shows prospective students we have been reviewed and we receive high marks for quality, diverse, affordable online programming,” said Valerie Cummings, director of marketing and promotions, outreach at MSU.

How the ranking is determined 

BestColleges.com uses the National Center for Education Statistics for data. It looks at several factors: 

  • Academic outcomes 
  • Affordability 
  • Breadth and depth of online opportunities  
  • Flexibility of online programs 
  • Quality of online programs 

Missouri State was also recognized for its commitment to the public affairs mission and the variety of degrees offered online.
