Foundation gifts total more than $19 million

2017 was second largest fundraising year for Missouri State.

July 10, 2017 by Strategic Communication

Thanks to Missouri State University alumni and friends, the Foundation raised $19,515,898 in Fiscal Year 2017, which ended June 30, 2017.

This is the second largest fundraising total in the history of the Foundation. The highest was $20.3 million in FY 2012.

“This has been a great year and we are so very thankful to our alumni and friends,” said Brent Dunn, executive director of the Missouri State Foundation.

Gifts, received this year from 21,292 donors, continue to support student scholarships and programs, faculty research and facilities enhancements. As state appropriations have continued to decline, these funds are even more important to the success and growth of the university.

“While we are grateful for one of the best years in the history of the Foundation, we are really celebrating the impact these gifts have on students, faculty, staff and the entire state.”
