Less than two years after it opened, the Davis-Harrington Welcome Center will get a new look.

New courtyard opens Friday

A gift from Chris and Bryan Magers funded a new courtyard that will be named in their honor on the building’s east exterior. The courtyard will host student gatherings and outdoor receptions.

The Magerses are longtime supporters of Missouri State. Bryan Magers is a member of the Missouri State Foundation Board of Trustees and was a chairman of the board.

Missouri State will host a dedication ceremony for the Magers Courtyard at 1:30 p.m. May 12 at the Welcome Center.

Lobby gets a new name

A gift from Mike and Barbara Ingram will also help fund the facility. The Welcome Center lobby will be named the Mike and Barbara Ingram Lobby. Mike Ingram is the current chairman of the Foundation Board of Trustees.

“We so much appreciate the private support for this facility,” said Brent Dunn, vice president for university advancement. “The Davis-Harrington Welcome Center has been a great addition to the university and is making a significant impact on the admissions process. It’s a tremendous first impression for the university.”
