Ozarks Public Television (OPT) will host “Seuss Science Day,” a celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, at the Discovery Center of Springfield on Feb. 18.
On this special day, guests can take advantage of reduced admission to the Discovery Center for $7 per person (children 2 and under are free). Children will have the opportunity to hear a variety of Dr. Seuss stories, including “Hop on Pop,” “Oh the Thinks You Can Think,” “Because a Little Bug Went Ka-CHOO” and “Green Eggs and Ham.”
Guests will also be able to take part in special science demonstrations throughout the day. The Cat in the Hat will be in attendance to greet guests and pose for photos.
The celebration will begin at 10 a.m. and conclude at 4 p.m. Additionally, the Discovery Center will be open during normal hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
