During Missouri State University’s January Staff Service Awards program, the university announced the two winners of its Staff Excellence in Community Service Award, and the six winners of its Staff Excellence in University Service Award, honored the 38 employees from the Springfield campus who retired in 2016 and recognized 175 employees from the Springfield campus who reached a five-year longevity milestone in 2016.
Two honored for community contributions
The Excellence in Community Service Award recipients are Addie Douglas, custodial foreman at Foster Recreation Center, and Alisa Garbisch, assistant director of residence life’s student success initiatives.
Six honored for service to universityÂ
The Staff Excellence in University Service Award was presented to Kevin Agee, new media specialist, Judith Campbell, administrative assistant, Gay Carson, administrative specialist, Lynn Dickison, senior enterprise systems administrator, Nathan Hoff, associate registrar for degree programs and advising support, and Jennifer Walker, financial aid counselor at the West Plains campus.
38 staff members retire in 2016
The 38 staff members who retired in 2016 represent more than 700 years of combined service to the university and an average of 18 years of individual service. Staff retirees from the Springfield campus include:
