The City of Springfield has identified key issues facing the local community, particularly northwest Springfield. The Community Engagement Project, one of seven public affairs signature events at Missouri State University, is here to help.
Join the Bear Blitz
The project, named the “Bear Blitz,” will focus on assisting Zone 1 families Nov. 14-19. Missouri State students, faculty, staff and alumni are encouraged to pick activities in which they want to participate. Community volunteers are also invited to get involved.
“This project is going to be a tremendous opportunity for the Missouri State community to join forces and help our neighbors,” said Alex Johnson, director of community involvement and service. “We’re looking forward to bringing the #CitizenBear mission to northwest Springfield.”
Among the volunteer options are opportunities at The Fairbanks, 1126 N. Broadway Ave. in Springfield.
