Missouri State University’s Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) was honored with the Learning Environment Award at the 12th annual Enterprise Video Awards hosted by Sonic Foundry, Inc., the trusted global leader for video creation and management solutions.
Advancing video programs
Missouri State’s project featured three faculty members: Lora Hobbs, senior instructor of religious studies; Dr. Eric Nelson, professor of history; and Jennifer Pursley, instructor of mathematics. Each faculty member described how Mediasite enabled significant advantages in their course design, including adding innovation and convenience, allowing them to structure their courses with a focus on both academic and student engagement and best practices suited for online learning.
“Congratulations to the Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning for embracing online video to the fullest to achieve measurable cost savings, efficiencies and productivity with Mediasite,” said Rob Lipps, executive vice president of Sonic Foundry.

The awards honor excellence in Mediasite integration into business, education, health and government. This year’s finalists achieved measurable improvements in information accessibility, cost-savings, efficiency and productivity through Mediasite.
“This year’s class of Enterprise Video Award nominees took enterprise video programs to another level, finding new and cutting-edge applications for Mediasite,” added Lipps. “We continue to be inspired by our customer’s creativity and innovation.”
