Missouri State University has recently been acknowledged by the Arbor Day Foundation for promoting healthy trees and engaging students and staff in the spirit of conservation.
Missouri State received the Tree Campus USA recognition for diligence in improving the environment. According to the Arbor Day Foundation, benefits of being a Tree Campus are not only environmental. Planting and maintaining trees reduces the amount of energy a campus needs to generate, provides cleaner air quality, and gives students and faculty beautiful green spaces to relax or study.
