Missouri State University’s College of Natural and Applied Sciences recently brought in renewed funding for programs focused on the safety and health of the country.
- Dorothy Wittorff-Sandgren, community development coordinator, and Diane May, director of the Center for Resource Planning and Management, received another year of funding in the amount of $422,443.41 from the Missouri Office of Homeland Security for the Homeland Security Grant and Work program with the Southwest Missouri Council of Governments (SMCOG). The funding helps support the building, sustainment and delivery of homeland security initiatives.
- Dr. Elizabeth Bowles, research specialist with Bull Shoals Field Station, received a $31,840 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for the project “Probabilistic Monitoring of Select Oklahoma Waterbodies.” Bowles will work alongside Oklahoma State University for the duration of this project.
