Governor Eric Greitens announced a new member to the Missouri State University Board of Governors. The new member is Amelia (Amy) Counts, of Ballwin, Missouri.
“We’re very pleased to welcome Amy to the Missouri State Board of Governors,” said Missouri State President Clif Smart. “She was very involved as a student at Missouri State and continues to be involved in the university. Her enthusiasm and energy will be a great addition to the board.”
Counts said she’s looking forward to joining the board.
“I had a wonderful college experience at Missouri State,” said Counts. “I’m excited for the opportunity to help lead my alma mater.”
Counts’ term begins immediately
Counts will replace Steve Hoven as the 2nd District representative. Hoven’s term ended on Jan. 1.
“Steve has been a dedicated member of the board,” said Board Chair Virginia Fry. “We’ll miss Steve, but look forward to welcoming Amy.”
