Multimedia personality Bobby Bones headlines 2019 Public Affairs Conference

The most popular country music DJ in America is coming to Missouri State University.

Bobby Bones, an on-air personality and host of the award-winning “The Bobby Bones Show,” will be the 2019 Public Affairs Conference keynote speaker. His speech is set for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 1 at Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts.

The keynote event starts the conference, scheduled from Oct. 1-3. The theme is “The 21st Century Digital World.”

“Bobby Bones is an innovator who uses social media effectively and ethically to grow his brand,” said Brent Dunn, Missouri State University Foundation executive director. “He’s an ideal person to discuss what it means to be an ethical leader in a digital world.”

Bones’ keynote is free and open to the public thanks to the Missouri State University Foundation with support from 100.5 The Wolf – #1 For New Country. No tickets are required.

Enjoy a VIP reception with Bones

The Foundation will host a private reception with Bones prior to his speech Oct. 1. Guests will have a photo opportunity with Bones and receive an autographed copy of his The New York Times bestselling book, “Fail Until You Don’t: Fight. Grind. Repeat.,” released in June 2018.

Bobby Bones, vice president and creative director of iHeartCountry, has a “fiercely devoted following” (Washington Post) tuning in to his nationally syndicated radio show, The Bobby Bones Show, which broadcasts to almost 140 stations and is the #1 Country morning show with millions of weekly listeners.

The show recently garnered its third Academy of Country Music (ACM) Award for National On-Air Personality of the Year, a 2017 Country Music Association award for National Broadcast Personality of the Year and earned Bones the title of youngest ever inductee into the prestigious National Radio Hall of Fame.
