The National Academic Advising Association (NACADA) selected Dr. Erin Buchanan, associate professor of psychology, as a 2016 NACADA Outstanding Advising Award winner in the Faculty Academic Advising category.
The category Buchanan was included in was restricted to those individuals whose primary responsibilities are teaching and who spend a portion of their time providing advising services to students. The award is given to individuals in recognition of their demonstrated abilities as excellent advisers.
Buchanan will be honored and presented with a recognition plaque at the NACADA annual conference Oct. 5-8 in Atlanta, Georgia. Buchanan will also receive a complimentary membership in NACADA and conference registration.
