Keeping with a tradition of excellence, the College of Business’s Ad Team won first place in the U.S. State Department’s Peer to Peer: Challenging Extremism program. They competed internationally with 21 other universities, and then were selected as the only U.S. team to compete in the final three.
The team presented their One Ninety Five campaign to the State Department in Washington, D.C., and even more recently, their campaign was commended publicly by the United Nations.
One Ninety Five is a digital, grassroots movement uniting the voices of every community to prevent violent extremism. The comprehensive strategic campaign centered on the idea that change starts with one person, then one community, which can impact 195 countries.
This is the third consecutive year for the Missouri State Ad Team to win first in this national competition.
The outstanding work of the Ad Team under the advisement of Marketing Professor Dr. Melissa Burnett is a point of pride for Missouri State University.
