Missouri State University makes it a point of pride to highlight the importance of serving others in many different ways. Recently, three MSU health and human services faculty members were awarded for their services in maintaining the health of individuals around the world.
- Carmen Boyd, assistant professor of biomedical sciences, received a top volunteer award from Convoy of Hope for her volunteer work providing general nutritional guidance for a variety of feeding center populations around the world. “My most interesting experiences have been with the Convoy of Hope,” said Boyd. “COH is a wonderful agency to work with and I appreciate the opportunities provided to me and my students.”
- The National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) will present two Missouri State University sports medicine and athletic training faculty with awards this summer. Dr. David Carr (right) will be awarded the “Most Distinguished Athletic Trainer” award and Gary Ward (left) earned the “Athletic Training Service” award. The NATA annual convention will take place this June in St. Louis. The ceremony will be open to the public.
