Residence life receives national recognition for going green

Thursday, December 12, 2013

Missouri State University’s Kentwood Hall received the Educational Program of the Month Green Room Certification from the National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH, Inc.) for implementing sustainability programs in the hopes of creating practices that will make residents be more sustainable all year long.

Along with building sustainability knowledge for Kentwood residents, the program helped to build a sense of community for residents by banning together to make their floor better for themselves and for the environment.

For more information, contact Hinken, Residence Hall Association president, at Hinken769@live.missouristate.edu.
