Missouri State fraternities recognized for academic achievements
The North-American Interfraternity Conference (NIC) recognized Missouri State University’s fraternity community for academic excellence and achievement for the 2012-2013 academic year.
Out of 227 campuses reporting data to the NIC for the 2012-13 academic year, 117 fraternity communities report average GPAs exceeding their campus’s male student average GPA.
“Academics is the reason why students exist at Missouri State University and being able to show that achievement within a student organization is an extension of why the co-curricular experience coupled with the academic experience is essential,” said Andrea Weber, assistant director of student engagement for fraternity and sorority life.
